Annual Spring Cleanup 2017

We had a successful with 6 volunteers collecting 4 big bags of garbage, 4 big bags of recyclables , One bin of beer cans, One pail of beer/liquor bottles, 2 tires on rims, 4 empty paint cans and 3 -5 litre jugs of used motor oil.

Every Step Counts ! Fundraising Event


A fundraising event for COMMUNITY CARE and the Buckhorn Trails Association on Sunday AUGUST 28th, 2016.

Where: John Earle Chase Memorial Park, Gannon’s Narrows
Time:    Beginning at 1 PM

How you can help: Pickup a sponsor sheet (also available at Community Care office in Buckhorn ) and come out and join us for the fun, food and music. ( donations greatly appreciated ! ).

Walk to WIN a DRONE

dronexThere is more than one way to win when you participate in the Every Step Counts! walk/hike to raise funds for Community Care on August 28.
Not only will you win by supporting Community Care, the girl or boy (14 and under) who has signed up the most sponsors will win a Neutron Indoor/Outdoor Quad Rotor Drone that can take pictures and videos.

And the first 25 kids who sign up at the event that day will be given a set of school supplies (pencils, sharpener, scissors, eraser and ruler) when they complete their walk/hike. Flyer details

New Sign posted this week !

Whilst walking the trails this week we noticed this new sign posted week of APRIL 25-29 by Parks Canada.

Spring Clean Up at John Earle Chase Memorial Park and Anchor Bay Road

Had a successful spring clean up this morning with 10 volunteers collecting 6 big bags of garbage, 7 big bags of recycling, 1 tire, 1 steel drum, assorted metal scraps, 24 beer/liquor bottles and 95 beer cans.Thanks to everyone who came out to help!
